We are all running Office Pro Plus 2016 on Windows 10 (1703) both Office and Windows fully patched. I made an HTML Email Template that is working fine in most email readers, but the background images are not showing in Outlook 2007, 2010, and 2013. I have confirmed that it is a problem on several machines across several users. However for folders the (typically) grey expand and collapse bars do not appear regardless of whether the "show in groups" setting is checked for theĮxceedingly confusing is the fact that the "expand" / "collapse" function still appears to work, which will make all the messages in the search results belonging to a folder disappear without an way of selecting the group and expanding it again. In Outlook 2016, the same sub-system appears to be inplace and works well for some "arrange by" fields. The images will show in Webmail and will also show if forward to a different account running the same versions of Windows and Office.

This is on a new fresh computer with Windows 7 pro, Office 2016 and Outlook 2016 with gmail account. In Outlook 2013, if one did a search for "puppies" in the "current mailbox" the output display could be sorted by "In folder" and the messages would be shown in groups with +/- title bars that could expand or collapse. Even if you choose download image it will not show.
